Kent County Democratic Party Election, Grand Rapids, Michigan

	December 10,2008 Grand Rapids, MI Kent County An election was held at Grand Rapids Democratic Party office for Kent County 5 member Committee. Mr. Sunny Dhoorh was elected for next term as Vice Chairman for Kent County, Democratic Party. Mr. Dhoorh is the only Indian who represents the whole Indian community in the West Michigan. The whole Indian community has welcomed this decision by the Democratic Party. Mr. Sunny Dhoorh has been very active in the communtiy. He holds various positions. Mr. Dhoorh is: President of Punjabi Cultural Society of Michigan, Vice Chairman 3rd District Democrat Party Member State Central Committee, Democrat Party, State of Michigan He also held following positions in the past: Chairman Indian Caucus Democrat Party, West Michigan Vice-President Sikh Religious Society of West Michigan Mr. Dhoorh has been awarded Man of the Year award by the State of Michigan 3 different times, Amazing Asian award by the State of Michigan twice and Amazing Asian award by Asia Center.
